Fritz's First Birthday!

This weekend we celebrated Fritz’s First Birthday! I can’t stop thinking about it and honestly one of the reasons is because I am so proud of myself. I saw an image on Pinterest that I loved and decided to go for it! This is my take on it, but I wanted his party to feel neutral, soothing and earthy. I really think is what we got. We threw it at Little Thistle, their private room is beautiful and very neutral. Fritz’s highchair fit in perfectly and I was SO thrilled to find this adorable wood crown on Etsy.

I tagged all sources on my Instragram.

We had about 30+ adults and their kiddos. We served $5 Pizza (the place we got it from is called $5 Pizza and it is delicious!). We had a smash cake made for Fritz and a sheet cake from Costco, people kept coming up to me and asking where we had it made (there cake is THE BEST).

It was simple and for the most part stress free. We got to spend an afternoon with our favorite people.

I wrote this to Fritz on his birthday:

Happy First Birthday, Fritz! The last year has been the most beautiful year I’ve ever known. You came into this world so tiny, so fragile and a bit angry. You taught your dad and I how to be patient, selfless and to not worry unless we had a reason to. The worry didn’t break us, you wouldn’t let it, because you thrived. I love watching you discover the world around you: French Fries, playing ball with Henry, finding the perfect opportunity to jab your finger in my mouth or nose. And your laugh, my favorite sound. You can call me “dada” for as long as you want. I am so lucky you chose me to be your mom. I will love you always. ❤️
